Our Story So Far
Celebrating how God has been at work in our church and the key moments along the way.
First Child Dedications - 22nd March, 2026

Child Dedications was such a special Sunday in the life of our church. We gathered around families, prayed over their children, and stood with them as they made this beautiful commitment to raise their kids knowing and loving Jesus. There was something so meaningful about the whole church being part of it, cheering them on and supporting them in such an important moment.
We also had the joy of giving each child a Bible, which made the day feel even more special. Cass preached such a beautiful message as well, full of encouragement and truth, reminding us all what it looks like to build our homes and families on Jesus.
As Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” It was a joy filled, faith filled morning, and such a lovely moment for all of us to share together as a church family.

Sisterhood Conference Road Trip - 13th & 14th March, 2026
Sisterhood Conference was one of those weekends we will keep talking about for a long time. We had women from all generations come with us as we road tripped down, stayed together, laughed, worshipped, prayed, and simply did life side by side for a few beautiful days. There was something so special about getting away together and making space for God, and we all came home feeling different in the best way.
The messages afterwards said it better than we ever could. “Hi Cass just wanted to thank you again it was truly a life changing weekend for me.” Another wrote, “I feel like my heart is on fire for Jesus!” One of the husbands shared, “Thank you for Sisterhood! The transformation that happens instantly is incredible. Our household has an instant shift, it elevates every time.” We are just so thankful for what God did in the hearts of our women, and for the way that change flowed back into homes and families too.

Carols Under the Stars - 13th December, 2025

Carols Under The Stars was such a beautiful night for our church and community. We had an animal farm, a BBQ, face painting, and so much for families to enjoy, but one of the real highlights of the night was the nativity story brought to life through singing, acting, and dance. It was such a special way to celebrate Christmas and remember what the season is really all about.
There was so much joy in the air all night. Kids were laughing, families were gathered together, and there was such a lovely sense of wonder and community as everyone enjoyed the evening under the stars. One person said, “Wow this was the best carols I have been to. So much fun.” That really summed it up so well.
It was a night full of fun, connection, and the Christmas story at the centre of it all. As Luke 2:10 says, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” It really was a joyful and memorable night that we will all look back on so fondly.

First Baptisms - 23rd November, 2025
Our first water baptism weekend was such a special one for our church. We headed down to the river together and it was such a joy to watch people take this step of faith and publicly declare their decision to follow Jesus. There was something really beautiful about gathering by the water, hearing people’s stories, and celebrating all that God is doing in their lives. It was simple, full of joy, and one of those days that builds faith in everyone standing there.
It reminded us of Romans 6:4, “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” It was a day we will not forget.

Port Macquarie Connect Turns One - 27th July, 2025

What a weekend to remember! Our very first birthday celebration was nothing short of monumental. Even though the rain poured down outside, inside was filled with joy, worship and gratitude as we celebrated all that God has done in this first year. From humble beginnings meeting in a living room to becoming a vibrant community with Connect Groups, a flourishing Kids Ministry and stories of lives transformed, we have seen His faithfulness at every step.
The day was packed with laughter, prayer, a sizzling BBQ, cupcakes for everyone, and an amazing word about small beginnings that stirred our faith for what is to come. It was a celebration of all God has already done and a reminder that this is only the beginning. We are so thankful for every person who has been part of the journey so far and we cannot wait to see what God has in store for the year ahead.

Easter at Port Macquarie Connect - 18th April, 2025
Easter weekend was nothing short of incredible. On Good Friday, a group from church gathered in the early hours at Town Beach to create a giant “Cross = Love” in the sand. As the sun came up, we fired up the BBQ and served free pancakes to anyone passing by. Conversations flowed, smiles were everywhere, and it was such a joy to share the love of Jesus on the most wonderful weekend of the year. The church rallied together, joy was in the air, and it was just so much fun.
On Easter Sunday, we gathered at church and linked in with Hillsong Australia campuses to hear a powerful message from Pastor Phil Dooley. It was a beautiful morning filled with worship, community, and a few Easter eggs for good measure. Truly a weekend of joy, connection, and celebration of the hope we have in Jesus.
